Romania Visa Application Process: E-Visa Portal and Consulate File Verification

Romania Visa Application: Residency Distinction and Consular Jurisdictions

According to the visa regime implemented by the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkish citizens holding ordinary (burgundy) passports must complete the official visa procedures to enter the country. The first step of the process is to open a digital application file through the official eViza (eviza.mae.ro) platform, managed directly by the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and upload scanned documents to the system. Marina Vize, which manages the application process in full compliance with the consulate's digital verification criteria, ensures that documents are uploaded to the system in the correct formats and that file approval is obtained quickly. The upload of all documents and their subsequent review and 'Validation' (pre-approval) status by consulate officials is the mandatory first stage for determining the appointment date.

Financial Proof and Daily Expense Criteria During Romania Visa Application

Romania strictly accepts applications from Turkey based on a strict regional division according to residency. Depending on the province of residence of the applicant, it is mandatory to apply to the centers falling under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General in Istanbul, the Embassy in Ankara, or the Consulate in Izmir. Digital files opened to the wrong consular region are directly rejected by the system, and the application fee is non-refundable. Therefore, the barcoded proof of residence obtained through e-Devlet must be included at the very beginning of the file and must perfectly match the authorized mission selected in the application form. In consular evaluations, applicants are expected to prove their ability to cover a certain minimum budget for each day of their stay in Romania (at least 50 Euros per day, with a minimum total of 500 Euros). This amount must be clearly visible in the bank account statements for the last three months, stamped and wet-signed, and the source of income must be proven with salary slips and SGK (Social Security Institution) records. For applications made through commercial activities or company partnerships, the company's current tax certificate, signature circular, and trade registry gazette records must be completely included in the file.
