Children's Curiosity is One of the Causes of Home Accidents
Children under 3 years old have limited hand and body skills. Their vision is narrower than adults. At the same time, there is an imbalance in their body proportions. Due to these factors, they encounter home accidents. Another reason for home accidents is children's curiosity. They are constantly learning new things. This learning process occurs through touching and seeing. Therefore, they approach everything with a desire to touch and eat. Instead of hindering this learning desire of children, it is necessary to prepare an environment where they can play safely.
Here are some things we can do to protect our children from home accidents:
-Cover all electrical outlets with special tools.
-Do not give your child hard-skinned fruits like carrots or quinces.
-If you instill in your child the habit of eating while sitting, you will somewhat prevent the problem of choking.
-The most important and common home accident is poisoning by ingesting cleaning products. Cleaning products should be stored in locked cabinets out of children's reach.
-A child should not be left alone in a room. Likewise, a child should never be left alone in a car or at home.
