It should be known that in our country, as an alternative fuel, LPG autogas first started to be used around 1995. The main reasons for the recent high gasoline prices are that LPG autogas is 50% cheaper than gasoline. At the same time, due to the easy conversion of all gasoline vehicles and the opening of a large number of LPG autogas stations, the demand for using LPG vehicles has gradually increased. It should be known that today, LPG autogas systems are most widely used in over 3 million passenger cars. On the other hand, there are over 8,000 stations. Despite having a positive history of over 100 years, CNG autogas has not been able to stand out in our country due to the lack of a sufficient natural gas distribution network.
In addition to the use of LPG in cars, which was established in our country a very long time ago and has taken many forms today, it has also brought the demand for filling stations to the agenda. It should be known that due to the lack of standards and information in these matters, shanty structures have gradually emerged.
What Does an Autogas Station Consist Of?
As with everything, the steam comes from behind in these matters as well. In these studies, the components of LPG station installations are introduced, and necessary and detailed information must be obtained about the devices and equipment that should be present, as well as the rules that must be followed.
The use of LPG in automobiles urgently created a demand for autogas stations, and in line with these demands, the construction of stations began overnight. Due to the inadequacy and ambiguities in the Turkish standards regulations regarding these constructed stations, the relevant and necessary articles were applied, which led to considerations of disagreements between the ministry of industry and TSE on some articles. It should be known that an autogas station generally consists of the following: relevant installations, above-ground tank applications, phased pump installations, submersible pump installations, and storage tanks.
